This year, our FOCUS series at Spring Arbor University is entitled “Focus on Freedom.” On Tuesday night, many students on campus completely packed out the White Auditorium at 7:30pm and 10:00pm to see the showing of the documentary “Not My Life.” This was a powerful documentary summarizing the human trafficking that is taking place around the world (and yes, this includes the United States as well). During the movie, we heard stories from victims, survivors, children advocates, and even human traffickers. I can’t believe how much human trafficking and sex slavery is occurring around the world! Even more than that, I can’t believe how YOUNG some of these little girls are that are forced into the sex trade. This documentary began to open my eyes to the prevalence and reality of human trafficking in the world today. I have included a short trailer from the video tonight. If you have the opportunity, I encourage you to see the whole documentary yourself.
