3 Weeks and Counting

Full library, printers constantly running, students hurrying, projects due, study group, test after test after test!!!!! This is the atmosphere of a campus filled with students who only have three weeks of classes left. Since my return from Easter break my ears have been buzzing about the “x” amount of days left until the semester is over. Everyone seems to be excited at the fact that summer break is quickly approaching. However, in the meantime, everyone is studiously doing their best to get homework completed, text books read and projects finished. Although I am geeked about the summer approaching, I am also sad that I have to leave my old and new friends behind. I always see the library full but not as packed as I have seen it these last couple days. Everyone is scrambling trying to make sure papers are written correctly, edited, and homework turned in promptly. I must admit, I am excited about the many opportunities that I will be pursuing this summer and I get to spend time with my family and friends back at home. I’m sure that everyone will have a wonderful summer, but until then, there is work to do. =)

Finish Strong!!!

Make new friends, but keep the old

accountability system! She has been a huge blessing.

This semester I’ve been learning the importance of friends. And not just having friends and keeping friends, but making new friends as well. I’m starting to “shift” my friend group around, I guess you could say, and it has actually been very refreshing! I have been seeking out the right group that God wants me to be connected with for right now.

Sure, college is where you’re supposed to find your lifelong friends, but that doesn’t mean you have to stick to one friend group. Lately, I haven’t even had a “friend group.” I definitely still have connections with many of my friends from last semester and last year, but I have found myself investing in new friends as well.

So whether you’re in high school or college, don’t stress about friends! I know friendship is something we all strive for and struggle to find confidence in sometimes. My advice? Hang on to the friends who truly mean something to you, who have been with you through thick and thin and want to continue to do so. But also seek out new people who will add a new sense of life and love into your days! Pour into these people as they are willing to pour into you. You will reap the blessings of it.
